2017 Suzuki Boulevard M109R

The 2017 Suzuki Boulevard M109R is here. And we made sure to review this muscular bike that is getting more spotlights each year than the one before. The Suzuki M109R definitely stands out from the crowd within its category. Let’s find out why.

Features of the 2017 Suzuki Boulevard M109R.

M109R Cylinder, Pistons, Crankshaft & Valves.

If you are wondering about the main reason behind the loudness of this masterpiece (other than the pipes), it’s probably because of it’s V-Twin,8-valve, 17833cc engine that produces raw power for your pleasure.

Suzuki Cycles are always proud about using a 4.4-inch aluminum alloy pistons in the M109R. Well, they should be. This is the largest pistons ever used in a passenger car or a motorcycle. The 2017 Suzuki Boulevard M109R have modified pistons for less friction and improved performance.

The cylinders work in harmony with the Suzuki Composite Electromechanical Material (SCEM) for better heat transfer and weight reduction. The two-stage cam drive system results in a lower engine height (since the cylinder head is more compact) and better stability due to the lower center of gravity.

The crankshaft is lowered due to the usage of the Suzuki Advanced Sump System (SASS); a dry lubrication system. Again, this resulted in a lower center of gravity to provide you with further stability.

Transmission & Clutch.

A constant-mesh, five-speed manual transmission is on the bike, with a high fifth gear ratio so you can enjoy chilling highway cruising.

Suzuki Boulevard M109r Exhaust & Shaft Drive.

A 2-into-1-into-2 stainless steel pipe is being controlled by the digital Suzuki Exhaust Tuning System (SET) for improved performance and to give you the desired pipe symphony that you are looking for.

A minimal torque reaction final Shaft drive will transmit the engine power to the rear 18-inch wheel effectively.
