From where we stand, we can clearly state that those pants are suitable for most weather conditions; Spring, Summer & Fall. You can’t really find that very often in the Two Wheelers’ riding gear world.

Also, the strategically placed air vents (above the knees) will provide you with superb and efficient air flow. You are totally free to open/close them according to your preference. All that it takes is a simple zipper movement.

In case you’re still searching for more valuable features, we’re glad to tell you that the waist is adjustable, and the pants come with a sanitized lining.

Things to Keep in Mind!

We always do our very best when it comes to searching for red flags or common negative feedbacks from riders on the product. Yet, we couldn’t really find a trending downfall or complaint about this product so far (at the moment of writing this article).

Our Final Verdict.

You see, the pants have a fair amount of protection, the breathability and air flow are considered to be the product’s selling point. You might not get the same level of comfort as you do with baggy motorcycle pants. Yet, you can’t get it all right? The  Forma Adventure Boots are well-known for its high range of motion and comfort. The dual density sole that we have mentioned earlier, will provide you with the comfort that you are looking for even while standing on your motorcycle. In addition, the boots have flexible areas on the back (above the heels) and the front too for improved flexibility.

Closure & Fitment.

GH Plastic buckles that are connected to plastic straps across the boot. The Velrcro® brand closure mechanism is used for perfect closure and fitment. However, some riders see that the plastic straps somehow give the Forma Adventure Boots a poor look, and should be replaced with a leather one instead.

Things We Love About the Forma Adventure Boots.

-The Waterproof lining is installed up to the second buckle (in both long & short boot versions) which is very convenient, in case you decided to go a little bit wild during your ride.

-Lightweight ADV Boots; that is a crucial feature that you should be looking for in any ADV motorcycle boots.

Pros & Cons.

Here’s a brief table that sums up the pros & cons of the Forma Adventure Boots, to assist you in making up your mind.

High ProtectionDesign and Style Can be Improved
Wide Range of Movement & Comfort

Our Final Verdict.

We see the Forma Boots as an excellent option that provides superb protection, comfort and a remarkable range of motion, compared to its alternatives on the market. Even though we didn’t spot any features regarding air flow, yet it’s an outstanding product to all ADV enthusiasts on Two Wheels.

Dainese Blackjack Gloves Review

The Dainese Blackjack Gloves have been very popular among café racers and street bike enthusiasts around the globe. We’ve talked earlier about the rise of café racer motorcycles within the past few years. However, this time we decided to give you an overview on one of this community’s most popular gear.

So why are the Dainese Blackjack Gloves actually popular again? We’ll take you through a brief review, and hopefully, by the end of it, you would get your answer.

Features of the Dainese Blackjack Gloves.

Safety & Protection.

Well, the protection on this pair of gloves is not impressive. Just some basic padding on impact areas (knuckles & back). Again, those gloves are popular among the classics community, don’t expect them to save your day on a track skidding.

Design & Style.

Classic, Classic, Classic all the way! The design simply screams old school. You can clearly spot the opening at the front side of the Dainese BlackJack Gloves. Moreover, the Goatskin leather material, adds a vintage touch to the masterpiece.

Comfort, Fitment & Closure.

The elastic leather material, along with the pre-curved fingers will provide you with a fair level of comfort. It may not be the same as the accordion material when it comes to the extended range of movement. Yet, it will keep you riding with comfort and a huge smile on your face.

The Dainese Blackjack Gloves are geared up with a single Velcro closure mechanism for your convenience.

Airflow & Breathability.

Front opening and porous fingers allow a fair amount of airflow within your beloved Dainise Gloves. On the other hand, don’t compare it with mesh supported gloves when it comes to this feature  ( this is another kind reminder that this is a retro motorcycle pair of gloves, not track ones).

Things to Keep in Mind.

Some riders reported that you might want to consider ordering a single size smaller than your usual one if you are planning on placing your Blackjack Gloves order.

Pros & Cons.

As usual, after revealing all of the features, positive, and negative feedbacks, we simplify things by offering the pros & cons table, to help you in making up your mind.

StylishLow Protection
Relatively Comfortable
Fair Airflow

Our Final Verdict.

It’s not rocket science, the Dainese Blackjack Gloves are stylish, fashionable and will look outstanding on your hands while you are riding your café racer (or any other vintage motorcycle). But, are they really going to protect your beloved hands on a bad day?

We don’t think so. They will provide minimal protection, but they won’t lower your chances of being subjected to serious injuries.

Do we Recommend It?

If you’re not a speed junkie, who loves riding classic motorcycles in style. We Absolutely do recommend it. Otherwise, you might want to consider a more advanced option (regarding the safety) as the Alpinestars SMX-1 Gloves.

Hopefully, we succeeded in adding value to your motorcycle gloves knowledge. We’re always doing our very best to research motorcycle-related products, and deliver informative, unbiased reviews to our Two Wheelers’ readers.

Enjoy your rides and ride safely!

Speed and Strength Dogs of War Pants

Speed and Strength Dogs Of War Pants

The Speed and Strength Dogs of War Pants are a very popular option among the motorcycle pants on the market. We’ve previously talked about how wearing motorcycle jeans while riding is a necessity rather than a luxury.

As usual, we pick a random motorcycle gear/accessory, do our extensive research and bring you the best review we can. Today, we decided to take a closer look at the Speed and Strength Dogs of War Pants.  These biker pants have been widely spread among motorcycle shops and large retailers. There must be a reason behind its popularity, Right? Let’s take a closer look together and find out…

Features of the Speed and Strength Dogs of War Pants.

The Material & Protection.

The Dogs of War Pants have a cotton-poly blend frame. The knee and seat areas are reinforced by DuPont Kevlar fiber thread.  Moreover, the pants come with the availability of installing removable knee armor for your convenience. This will protect you against both impacts and abrasion on a bad riding day.

Speed and Strength Dogs of War Pants Review

The Design & Style.

Even though the pants are mainly cotton, they do have the denim jeans look. Also, they have cargo pockets installed on the sides which give you both, more storage space and an awesome stylish look.

The Speed and Strength Dogs of War Pants come in two colors, Olive Green & Black. Some riders reported that the Olive Green Color is not “very olive”. Yet, we do assure you that you will love both of them.

The Pants have a generally straight fit cut (neither baggy nor slim like other models), slashed upper pockets, and single button closure mechanism. Did we mention that they have back pockets too?

Practicality (Movement & Breathability).

Wearing uncomfortable biker pants is a Big NO NO! Especially on long rides. Therefore, you’ve got to make sure that your winner candidate has the perfect fitment and comfy while you are riding. The Dogs of War Pants are loaded with stretch panels at the knees and waist areas. This will provide you with the wider range of movement and comfort when you are on your bike.

Last but not least, the main cotton material enhances the breathability of the pants.

Things to Keep in Mind.

The Speed and Strenght Dogs of War Pants don’t fit over full motorcycle boots as they are a little bit tighter at the ends  (we do highlight the fact that the pants have an overall straight cut). We just thought that this is something that you need to keep in mind while you are purchasing it.

Pros & Cons.

Here’s a simplified table with the pros & cons that we spotted for the pants. Hopefully, it will help you in making up your mind.

Pros Cons
Comfortable & B reathableNo Reflectors
Kevlar Thread at Knees & SeatNo Full Boots
Removable CE Knee Armor Compartments

Our Final Verdict.

The Speed and Strength Dogs of War Pants demonstrate simplicity and practicality. We’re sure that there are other biker pants out there with more complex breathability and protection options. However, we find the Dogs of War Pants a very satisfying option.

Icon Twenty Niner Gloves Review

Summer Weather Needs Better Air Flow.

And that’s what the Icon Twenty Niner Gloves offer you. If there’s a cutting edge for these gloves among its category, then outstanding air flow would be it. Riders’ feedback has been very appealing regarding this aspect.

Closure & Fitment.

Simplicity is the main keyword here; a single cuff closure is the main closure mechanism for those Icon gloves.

Downsides of the Icon Twenty Niner Gloves?

Well, some customers did complain about the durability of the product.  Other riders had negative feedbacks about color bleeding while washing them. However, most of the customers are satisfied with their overall experience with the Twenty Niner Gloves.

Pros & Cons.

As usual, to make things easier for you, we decided to show you a table with the pros and cons of the Icon Twenty Niner Gloves to help you in making up your mind.

Low BudgetLow Protection
Outstanding Air Flow
Catchy Design

Things to Consider.

The Fitment of the gloves is a little bit larger than the true size. So you’ve got to keep this in mind if you decided to go for this option. Moreover, you need to be aware of the fact that this is neither a pro nor an intermediate level protective gear; it won’t provide you with the same level of protection as of those $90+ alternatives.

Our Final Verdict.

The Icon Twenty Niner Gloves are perfect for those who are tight on budget, need minimum protection and are looking forward to getting some decent air flow while riding. We can’t really put it anyway more simple than that. Is it popular among motorcyclists? Yes, it’s for sure. Is it the right choice for you? Well, it’s your final call.

Hopefully, we added some value to your motorcycle knowledge library. If you’re looking for a professional alternative (we’re talking like really professional here), you can take a closer look t the Alpinestars GP gloves that we’ve reviewed earlier.

Ventilation & Aerodynamics & Noise Levels.

Chin, Eyebrows and head front air intakes work in harmony with the rear upper and lower vents to ensure the best air ventilation. Moreover, the padded wind collar reduces the noise significantly. However, riders report that noise is considered to be above average with the Bell Qualifier DLX Helmet, especially the upper part.

Outstanding feedbacks have been published though regarding the ventilation efficiency, whether we’re talking about the head or chin vents.

Visibility & Eye Port.

One of the very few options that you may find in this motorcycle helmet category (regarding price) is the availability of a Transitional Photochromatic Face Shield that darkens in the presence of UV rays. The overall visibility has been reported to be above average according to rider’s and merchants’ feedbacks.

On the other hand, others report that the first opening (for defogging and extra air flow) is a little bit wide. We don’t see it as a fatal negative comment.

Other than the usual moisture-wicking and removable, washable interior padding, the DLX helmet has built-in compartments for Bluetooth speakers; the SENA SMH10, and the Cardo Scala Rider Q1/Q3 Bluetooth headsets and intercom. Adaptor plates are offered too for your convenience.

Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves; Why the Pros Love it?

Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves

There’s a reason why Lorenzo loves winning with the Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves; you see, when we talk about professional GP gloves, the previously mentioned option should always be on top of your list.

You may think that we’re a little bit biased, but you’re wrong. We’re totally biased for this pair of Alpinestars gloves and we’re pretty sure you will be the same by the time you are done with reading this article.

Now, let’s take a closer look, to understand the reason behind its fame.

Features of the Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves.

Yes, the first thing that crosses your mind when the GP term is mentioned is the high level of protection. Believe us when we say that the manufacturer won’t let you down.

The gloves are loaded with an Alpinestars Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) knuckle protector that is well-known for its superb resistance to multiple impacts. Moreover, the wrist cuff has an ergonomically shaped TPU injected within which combines both protection and comfort.

Last but not least, compound TPU is mounted on the fingers along with foam paddings to provide you with higher levels of protection. Did we mention the 5-layers protection system that includes multiple Kevlar layers?

As you can see, when it comes to protection on track, the Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves got you covered. But, what about comfort and practicality? Let’s find out.

Comfort & Flexibility Combined.

With a leather chassis that is made from Kangaroo (palm area) and Cow leathers combined, the GP Tech Gloves will provide you with the perfect fit.  The leather accordion has been installed on the thumb to enhance your riding experience and give you more control on the track.

Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves
The Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves.

What’s different in the new model? (Upgrades & Modifications)

The first thing that grabbed our attention was the low profile vented cuff which is a huge plus that previous models lacked. In addition, thumb leather accordion that we talked about earlier added some serious flexibility for your convenience.

Also, the inner glove side is made from a large stitched leather parts, with the low profile and comfortable protection, unlike older versions, that were bulky and relatively uncomfortable.

Again, it seems that some serious upgrades, especially regarding flexibility and comfort were applied to the new Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves. However, is it really worth the bucks you pay for? Carry on reading to figure out.

Bottom Line.

We have done our research about some customer reviews regarding the GP tech gloves; we came to the conclusion that most of the riders who bought it were satisfied. Some commented that they preferred internal stitching for the leather parts, for example, but no serious negative feedbacks.

Only a few riders reported that the gloves had a short lifetime and even fewer complained from low-quality manufacturing issues that were resolved immediately by the manufacturer itself.

Now, the big question is, is it worth the cash that you`ll pay (or about to)?

Well, if you spend most of your time on the track, then the Alpinestars GP Tech Gloves is definitely worth your investment.

Hopefully, we provided you with a beneficial overview about the GP Tech Gloves. Stay tuned for further reviews. Until then, ride safely and enjoy your rides!
